St Brendan’s Boat - Wild Goose Studio

Honoring the legendary journey of St Brendan, this captivating sculpture depicts the ancient carving perched on a hillside overlooking Bantry Bay. St Brendan, the patron saint of sailors and travellers, embarked on a remarkable voyage to America in a curragh long before Columbus.

Masterfully crafted by our co-founder Kathleen Smyth, this design draws inspiration from a 1,000-year-old standing stone. Its carefully polished pure bronze finish and ceramic resin cold cast pouring showcase the intricacy of the artwork.
